Built From a Real Problem
AskAccountant started with a simple observation: millions of Filipino small business owners were struggling to stay BIR-compliant, handle payroll correctly, and navigate SEC requirements — not because they didn't want to, but because finding a qualified, trustworthy accountant at a reasonable price was genuinely difficult.
The traditional model — word-of-mouth referrals, office visits, opaque pricing — worked for large businesses with HR departments and established networks. Everyone else was left to figure it out on their own, often making costly mistakes.
Our founders set out to fix this. By building a transparent marketplace where verified accounting professionals can list their services and clients can find, book, and consult online — we removed the friction on both sides. Accountants get qualified clients without the hustle. Clients get professional support without the runaround.

2022
The Idea
Co-founders Maria and Jose recognized a critical gap: millions of Filipino SMEs lacked access to affordable, qualified accounting support. The idea for AskAccountant was born.
2023
Building the Platform
The team assembled, the product was designed, and partnerships with CPAs and accounting associations were established. Beta testing began with a select group of professionals.
2024
Public Launch
AskAccountant officially launched to the public. Within the first six months, over 300 verified accounting professionals joined the platform and served clients across the Philippines.
2025
Expanding Coverage
New service categories, enhanced verification processes, and a growing community of practitioners extended coverage to all major regions — from NCR to Mindanao.
