BIR Registration Seal Badge: A Practical Guide for Online Businesses

Updated: October 6, 2026

If you sell products, offer services, or earn income through an online business presence, customers should be able to verify your BIR registration. The BIR Registration Seal Badge provides a way to display that proof on your digital channels without uploading your entire Certificate of Registration.

This guide explains how to prepare, obtain, and display your badge, based on RMC No. 38-2026, its official taxpayer instructions, and the compliance extension under RMC No. 99-2026.

The Latest Deadline: October 31, 2026

Under RMC No. 99-2026, covered taxpayers who have not displayed the badge have until October 31, 2026 to comply without penalties arising solely from non-display. The Circular also urges immediate compliance.

This is an extension for displaying the badge. It does not authorize an unregistered business to operate until October 31 or excuse unpaid taxes, unfiled returns, or other violations.

For business owners, the practical approach is to complete the registration review and badge posting early enough to resolve account or registration issues before the deadline.

What Is the Badge, and Who Needs It?

RMC No. 38-2026 introduces a BIR-issued badge with a QR code for verification of registration. It is the proof displayed online in place of the full COR or eCOR.
